NBC stole the crown from Fox last night with the highest numbers on their the premiere of America’s Got Talent. Moving into its second season, the “Ed Sullivan School of Variety Acts” series has the charming and funny Sharon Osbourne sitting in the center seat this year. And there was even a surprise appearance by pup Minnie, who sat in on the judging of a dog act. On the opposite side of the ratings see-saw is Fox’s floundering reality series, On the Lot. This show had so much promise out of the gate, but even I, a film making freak, was bored to tears with last night’s episode! I want to see them make films - not watch an hour of filler and phone numbers.

I loved this! Man, some of those acts were wild, like the guy in the big slinky costume. and what was up with those kids and their puppets? As for Piers giving that mom what for - he was right. That kid was no way prepared to take the stage.
