Who am I kidding, you all know who got the boot this week and who will get the boot next week.  This isn’t American Idol after all.  Ratzenberger did his final Rumba on Dancing with the Stars and Billy Ray looked almost annoyed that he got the free pass for another week!  (Psst, Billy, sorry - I think it was my three votes that put you over the top!)

Ratzenberger was the oldest contestant and also came in as a last minute replacement for someone who canceled.  All things considered, he did an amazing job.

Now in past weeks they were logical about the who stays, who goes, slow reveal whittling it down to two couples that were neck and neck but this time it was Billy Ray and Joey.  Oh the tension!  Even

Billy Ray said he’d be under the red light.  He may be a hillbilly but he’s not stupid.

And how secure does a singer have to be to allow people to dance in front of them while they’re singing.  Meatloaf’s Bat Outta Hell was excellent and the dancing was fine, but hey did you see those kids!  That young boy had swivel hips on him that would make Elvis weep.

But my favorite part of this week’s show was the hilarious DanceCenter commentary.  That was inspired writing and no one was safe from ridicule.  Seriously, from the football commentary style marking of Joey’s butt to the discussion of Apolo’s goatee, it beat the heck out of those dumb Jimmy Kimmel spots.  Plug his show if you must but leave his dance lessons out of it.
