There’s been talk for the final several months - and common wisdom would logically conclude - that that was going to be the final year for NBC’s faraway running medical drama ER. The show has been on for 14 years and the ratings don’t really justify spending the money on another season. But hold on ER fans …

At a party celebrating the show’s 300th

episode (300 episodes? Yikes), producer John Wells said that he is going to being negotiations with NBC later that month to bring the show back for another year in the 2008-09 season. The ratings aren’t that poor, and the network could cut costs in some way and assemble it doable.
