Ken Burns To Add More Hispanics to Documentary

After a lot of pressure from two grassroots political movements documentarian Ken Burns is going to add more of the stories of Hispanic and Latino fighters to his World War II documentary.

I for one commend him. Burns is known for being a fantastic historian, and it is good to see that

in the face of overwhelming evidence he is willing to add this intergral part of the World War II experience. It is just to bad that someone had to sit down with him and say, “Hey you left out our people.”

The documentary, called “The War, is set to air on PBS starting in September.

Yes it’s a documentary, but it’s tough when you have to produce a series that will drawing ratings and ad buyers.
