The first sentence of Gunn’s book reads that “the most critical key to the subject matter of your wardrobe” is knowing who you are.

The new book is actually based on Tim Gunn’s Guide to Style, which began casting today. Since I’m pretty certain who I am is “someone who doesn’t care what Tim Gunn has to say,” I guess the first step for me is not reading his book and just wearing whatever the hell I want. I would like to thank him for the first sentence, though, it was very helpful.

I drifted over to Bravo and read the forward and as much as I’m sort of amused by Gunn on Project Runway, a person who uses the word metaphysical in the first sentence of a book about how you dress is being a bit pretentious for me. See ya, Tim.
