Saturday Night Live goes mobile

The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that “Saturday Night Live Mobile” was rolled out to Cingular customers yesterday. But that isn’t just some network-arranged deal that will simply repackage clips to be seen on cell phones; Lorne Michaels’ Broadway Video company collaborated with NBC Universal and Cingular to put together a media package that consists of 100 video shorts (with the network-ready version of the aforementioned Digital Short from last week’s episode), ringtones, and clips created particularly for mobile phones.
